Journal Frequency

The Azerbaijan Journal of Higher Education (AJHE) is published quarterly (4 issues per year: March, June, September, and December).

Special issues may also be published on emerging topics in higher education.

Review Process

Peer Review Model: AJHE follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers.

Initial Screening: All submissions are first evaluated by the editorial office for scope, originality, and adherence to submission guidelines.

Review Stages:

1. Editorial Review – manuscripts are checked for relevance and quality.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review – at least two independent experts evaluate the manuscript.

3. Revision Stage – authors may be asked to revise based on reviewers’ comments.

4. Final Decision – the Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision.

Timeline: The typical review process takes 6–8 weeks from submission to first decision.

Ethics: The journal follows strict academic integrity and publication ethics standards (COPE guidelines).

By supporting open access and inclusive publication practices, AJHE aims to make scholarly knowledge accessible, citable, and influential across borders. We welcome contributions from early-career researchers, seasoned academics, and policy-driven experts alike.
